First, you’ll hear from Kane Stewart, Founder at Egg Academy. Egg Academy is an educational venture that guides teenagers towards a successful future through their passion for gaming. Kane is also a board member of the Youth Hub, a significant facility in Christchurch to transform the lives of young people. He previously worked at a gaming company called Cerebral Fix and as a high school teacher. Kane will talk about how the education system is ripe for disruption.
Next we’ll catch up with Neil Edmond, founder at MoneyTime. MoneyTime is a gamified online financial literacy program for 10-14 year olds. Neil has a BCom/ LLB from Otago University and spent much of his career as a sales and marketing manager for SMEs. In 2018 he launched MoneyTime which is now used in nearly 700 schools through-out New Zealand. At this Coffee & Jam event, Neil will talk about the key factors for success in launching an edtech startup.
