Boyd Warren is ChristchurchNZ’s General Manager of Commercial, and tasked with implementing ChristchurchNZ’s revenue, sponsorship and commercial strategies, aimed at supporting the organisation’s various business programmes and projects. He specialises in public-private partnerships and commercial negotiations, ensuring a collaborative approach to city success and prosperity.
Boyd will be speaking about the Supernode strategy in the context of opportunity for ambitious innovators.
Alexandra Stuthridge
Commercialisation Manager @KiwiNet
Alexandra is KiwiNet’s Commercialisation Manager for the South Island, working to turn New Zealand’s scientific research into investor-ready opportunities through PreSeed funding, training and support. No stranger to driving innovation and investment, Alexandra has spent the past five year based in Canada where she built the BioProducts Institute (BPI) into a globally leading research cluster at the University of British Columbia. In this role, she led 69 researchers across 4 faculties, securing >NZD$62M in research-related funding.
Alexandra will be talking to us about the role of KiwiNet and the opportunity KiwiNet programmes represent for academic researchers.

Marian Johnson is Chief Awesome Officer at Ministry of Awesome. She is an experienced senior executive with 20 years experience developing and executing marketing and business growth strategies for software and edutech startups in NZ as well as with entertainment multinationals Universal Studios and Discovery Networks in the US and Europe.She is passionate about the startup and innovation ecosystem in Canterbury and committed to its ongoing success.
